Re: FOR SALE: Archos 5IT 32GB w/ mini dock & leather case
I see this section is not very action. But I thought I'd try again. Our move took longer than expected and I've kept the Archos. So if anyone wants it, you can have it for the shipping plus whatever you want to offer. I'm in Seattle.

Re: FOR SALE: Archos 5IT 32GB w/ mini dock & leather case
I still have this thing. I hate to send it to Goodwill as no one will know what a gem they have. Can anyone use? I'm moving and need to get rid of it.

FOR SALE: Archos 5IT 32GB w/ mini dock & leather case
I bought this new and loved it. It still works perfectly but I haven't used it in almost a year. It comes with a mini dock for faster charging and TV playback, an InvisaShield installed and a black leather case as well as the original packaging. I will entertain any reasonable offer. I'm in Seattle,...

Re: Pre-purchase Tablet newbie
Thanks. I think that's what my friend is awaiting. We don't leave until mid-June but I want to have whatever technology we decide on in time for our spring break riding in Austin which is a month away. So I think you're right...too late. I checked Craig's List and can get a Samsung Galaxy 7" for $25...

Re: Pre-purchase Tablet newbie
Still planning on the HP for our bike tour. But last night a friend was over touting his new Nook and reminding me that the HP won't have much battery life. He's encouraged me to re-open my investigations for a 7-8" device. I can get a free b/w Nook but I don't see the point! I'm re-examining how th...

Re: Pre-purchase Tablet newbie
Thanks...that's encouraging. We're pretty much decided on the HP at this point. Though I'll take it with me to Florida next month to be sure I like working on it. But I was going to test drive a tablet on that trip and I've talked myself out of it. So thanks all for you valuable input. I imagine eve...

Re: Pre-purchase Tablet newbie
Thanks. I'll check those out. We have GPS on our cycling computer so that would be fine. Interesting options. Glad I posted here. Thank you.

Re: Pre-purchase Tablet newbie
Thanks for the response. We're doing a supported tour so one thing we need to decide is IF we'll actually carry the device on bike each day or pack it in our transported gear. I'm thinking the later. I'm also trying to figure out what I'd get the most use out of post-trip. Currently I'm leaning towa...

Pre-purchase Tablet newbie
I've had an Archos 5IT since they first came out and still use it and love it. Of course as an early adopter I went through all the hassles with a new product from Archos. I've been away from the Forums for more than a year and I'm wondering if their support has improved? I've had my a GalaxyS phone...

Mini dock TV connection
I've had my device about a year and half now but I've never tried to connect it to my TV via the mini-dock. I have the correct RGB cables and tried it today. I just figured out that I had the RGB plugged into the out instead of the IN. So now I get the correct input option. But I'm still not getting...

Re: Android 2.2, rumors, speculation and facts
I've had my device for 1.5 years and still love it for watching video while exercising. I download on my PC and transfer it to view. I finally broke down and got my first smart phone last weekend (TMo was offering the Samsung Galaxy Vibrant with FroYo on it for FREE). I'm loving having 2.2 on it whi...

Re: Newbie to smart phones & tethering
Thanks for your insights. Today is the end of my two week trial. I loved the phone and am returning it. I will likely get one in the next 6 months as newer versions come out. But I totally agree. My Archos is much nicer for movies and I've got it down to a system for how to get all my TV shows onto ...

Re: Newbie to smart phones & tethering
Thanks again. I decided to do a 2-week trial on this phone. They said it will tether if I pay $10 extra a month. I'm not even going to bother trying. I've only had it an hour but I already prefer my Archos. Not just the bigger screen. There's not even a kickstand on it which I use all the time. And ...

Re: Newbie to smart phones & tethering
Thanks for that response. Should I just assume this phone will work for tethering the Archos? Or once I have this phone will my Archos become obsolete?!

Newbie to smart phones & tethering
I'm an old timer with the Archos however I've never had a smart phone or looked into tethering. I've read the Wiki about how to do it and what phones work. The phone I'm considering is not listed (Samsung VibrantÔäó a GALAXY S Phone SGH-T959). Has anyone tethered this phone? What I'm not clear about...

Re: TV.com
Actually I have a TV.com app and I am able to stream programs on my 5IT. I don't think they're Flash. I know their site is, but I think the app is using something else (not sure what). Sometimes it works pretty well and sometimes I have the issues in my initial post.

TV.com
I tried to search to see what's been posted however the search function won't let me search on tv.com. Does anyone else use it? I'm finding that the audio and video do not sync. Also, sometimes when it says it's a full episode it's not. Or I get the segments between ads out of sequence and repeating...

Re: Free today only: Foxreal YouTube FLV Downloader Pro
Not sure why you mean. This site offers free software downloads everyday. They're promo versions that cannot be installed past the day they're offered, cannot be upgraded and do not include any support. Basically it's a teaser. But I installed it and used it already. Recorded a show off Hulu and con...
