Re: Epic Citadel Benchmark

Interesting so something is blocking in most RK3066 firmware will test that :) though stock even 36 fps is a quiet good result :) Magnus could you check if by defaul the Gamepad Governor is on Interactive and what happens if a 3D application gets active does it still stays on Interactive or does it ...

Re: Epic Citadel Benchmark

I looked closer and i saw this archos/ RK3070GP /A70GP:4.1.1/JRO03H/20121126.142255:user/release-keys it might be RK3070 is a special Chip version maybe even only for Archos most probably with higher GPU clocks then the default RK3066 Maybe a better yield chip ;) I guess it can be added to the list ...

Re: Epic Citadel Benchmark

Re: Epic Citadel Benchmark

So without this micro sd mod what is the result then ? though i doubt it has anything todo with just the location of the app data because it is on the Nand so or so ;) i rather guess Archos pushes the Hardware to it's maximum accepting extreme energy consumption for it, people seem to brag about as ...

Re: Epic Citadel Benchmark

That's why i wonder if this is overclocked or the default Gamepad result this is the maximum i could get out of my 7 inch based RK 3066 based tablet platform, for now there are worlds between this and the Gamepad result almost like there is no RK 3066 in it ;) That makes me really suspicious though ...

I wonder how Archos PR can call this thing a tablet for me it looks like one of these Chinese Picture Frames (as H.P mentioned) with Android :P and i can clearly say that thing runs with a RockChip also :)

Re: ANDROID 2.2

Silvio, I seriously doubt Archos management is going to decide giving away the AMC source is a good business idea. :D Michael Hehe their Core IP :P that's as doubtful as if you would ever become president of the United States ;) Nice work so far voliminal6669, i guess Video wise there could be some...

Re: ANDROID 2.2

Hmm wonder if it will stay stable with a 720p High Bitrate file playing via AMC there it can get pretty hot even @ 800 Mhz :P now guessing 200 Mhz more hmmm not sure if that is safe. Btw voliminal6669 you can find the SGX driver on Tis focus page you just have to register :)

Re: ANDROID 2.0

I said that before on another thread, but if gen8 has 2.x which is nearly 100% sure because of multitouch, then it would be a shame if there is no 2.x for gen7 because the differences between the two generation should not be THAT huge. Even a unified firmware which probes the hardware at boot would...

Re: NEW DEVELOPER FIRMWARE (Thank you Archos!)

Regular users will want to use the Android O.S. , developers will wan't to create app's for the Android platform so the can make a little money from the app stores. It's nice that Archos is encouraging Linux development on the A5A, but it won't help the regular Android platform. I would rather see ...

Re: New Fimware & 2.1: Loose Archos Talk at a Paris Party...

The problem is as great as 2.1 is as bad it is for Archos as their needs to be a decission for the future to be taken and that means scrap AMC in it's current form and implement it directly into Android ;) (needs a hell of backend work together with TI, the whole paying plugin system and DRM needs t...

Re: i just saw there is RealVideo support on Archos 5

There are even other formats supported in AMC that not everyone knows of hehe ;) but they useless these days and unoptimized same goes for the RealVideo Decoder it seems only SD optimized. The most optimized are the ASP, H.264 and VC-1 Decoder, though i can't speak so much about the VC-1 Decoder as ...
