though all the Shader Effects are gone there are normally Sun Light Effects and Flares on the Candle Lights they are all gone with R3P1 also in your Video Magnus

it might be RK3070 is a special Chip version maybe even only for Archos most probably with higher GPU clocks then the default RK3066

this is the maximum i could get out of my 7 inch based RK 3066 based tablet platform, for now there are worlds between this and the Gamepad result almost like there is no RK 3066 in it ;)

I said that before on another thread, but if gen8 has 2.x which is nearly 100% sure because of multitouch, then it would be a shame if there is no 2.x for gen7 because the differences between the two generation should not be THAT huge. Even a unified firmware which probes the hardware at boot would ...

Regular users will want to use the Android O.S. , developers will wan't to create app's for the Android platform so the can make a little money from the app stores.

It's nice that Archos is encouraging Linux development on the A5A, but it won't help the regular Android platform.

The problem is as great as 2.1 is as bad it is for Archos as their needs to be a decission for the future to be taken and that means scrap AMC in it's current form and implement it directly into Android ;) (needs a hell of backend work together with TI, the whole paying plugin system and DRM needs ...
