Want to update everyone that I am loving my Dell Mini 10 (with HD display and HDMI output) and haven't missed Archos 7 for a day.

Great Review! You nailed it pretty well w/ all the pros and Cons. I think its time Archos started to see that many of the reviews have the same cons and perhaps start listening to their customers. Such a small gesture will only guarantee more loyal customers and more units sold. A review like yours...

oh wow that's a new line, i have not heard i guess they laid off a ton of workers and are understaffed which is why the repairs are taking so long I've always said they are understaffed in support area... but to top it all the yhave no good system to keep track / report / monitor the issues anyways

Bad support from the manufacturer on s/w as wel las harware 2. Tons of (and confusing) plugins needed to play video...

Yes, Archos 7 comes with an adapter, and Archos 5 does not.

But as someone else said... you get additional s-video out from the mini-dock, if that helps
