And as i STATED, That was the one with the most noteable difference. There is also a significant difference when using earphones as well.
So every pair of headpones/earphones i have are crap because i do not have 1k$ equipment? I understand you have good quality headphones and all, but what ...

Re: Processor and Pricing from Archos.com
The pricing on the G9 80 looks good and reasonable, but the G9 101 is a good deal too high. I have no problems with these prices, but the fact that some are slower than the others really bugs me, especially if the 16GB 101 is a slow model.

Re: Sound card
One of my major gripes with my Archos 101 is the sound quality. It sounds good and all, until you put on a good pair of headphones. I have the skullcandy skull crushers (that amplify the bass), and when my ipod died one time, I tried using my tablet, to see just how they sound on there. The quality ...

Re: Archos RAM
Beleive me, it do make a world of difference
If the Archos gen 9 do not come with 1gb ram - I will not buy it, period.
Every other real competitor's tablet will have 1gb with very few exceptions

Re: Archos RAM
Honestly, I wonder what the real world difference is. I know going from my Archos 70 with 256mb to my Asus Transformer with 1GB of RAM is just such a ridiculous difference. However, I also see a lot of tablets coming out with 512mb on Honeycomb from major players, like the Acer Iconia A100. Perhaps ...

Re: Archos G9 101 VS. Asus EEE Pad Transformer
My coworker's brother got a Transformer. He says he was playing with it and it is unbearably slow. Both he and his brother are new to Android, so they very well could have things they are doing wrong with it. Does anyone have issue with it being slow? One item he specifically mentioned was when ...

Re: 7 Inch gen9 in the making? - from Engadet
Android 3.2 isn't out yet, which is honeycomb for 7" tablets. I'm guessing that they simply don't want to announce anything until they actually have the software to power the tablet on hand.

Honestly, what does it matter? Get a USB flash drive, take off the casing, and fashion one yourself out of the cover from the Archos. Its like 5 minutes of work, and will undoubtedly save money over anything Archos can sell.

Re: Gen9 Detailed Spec. Sheet from PDAdb.net.??
Do the specs of the device determine upgrade eligibility? I'm wondering because Archos never updates their devices to new versions of Android. I mean I feel like Generation 8 is still new enough to be able to support Honeycomb update and while the G9's should be powerful enough to get an Ice Cream ...

Re: Gen 8 Bargain time!
The problem with waiting for the next generation is that there is no end to it. Might as well wait for Gen 10. Only a year away. If I can get Gen 8 at bargain prices, why not?
If the Gen 8 hardware does what you want it to, then there certainly is no reason to spend more. The problem with ...

Re: My take on Gen 9 and Tegra 3. (Please Read)
Your take on the Vita mirrors mine. If they had implemented Android and an HDMI video out it would have been an amazing device.
I think Sony saw how powerful those new ARM Processors are and they got scared, if they include a HDMI output people won't need to buy a PS3 anymore as you just connect ...

Re: My take on Gen 9 and Tegra 3. (Please Read)
Who says PS Vita uses Nvidia at all? Perhaps Sony has some other way to make a Quad-core of their own, specially optimized for their gaming which they don't care to include a HDMI output, in my opinion, that is kind of defeating the purpose of having such a modern chip. Also Sony seems to use a ...

Re: My take on Gen 9 and Tegra 3. (Please Read)
I agree. I don't expect to see a 1.5GHz Tegra 3 tablet anytime soon, but it would make sense for the Playstation Vita. A lot of forums are talking about Vita running at 1.5 GHz. I can't really find their sources for it though.

Re: My take on Gen 9 and Tegra 3. (Please Read)
Hmm. Well I suppose its all speculation at this point, but most are assuming the Tegra 3 chip will be running at 1.5 Ghz in the Vita.
It looks like 1.5 GHz is their max:

Re: Archos, no 7" 1 Gig RAM G9, no dice!
It is looking like they will have 1GB of RAM. Honestly, having anything less would be incredibly stupid.
I'm pretty sure that Archos will release a 7" tablet later this year once they can get their hands on Android 3.2 (honeycomb for 7" tablets). All depends on if you can wait or not.
