Anyone know anything about the 8gb version hitting Amazon anytime soon? I want it from Amazon because of the amazing return policy they have.

We could also be looking over the obvious. Maybe the 8gb is a Euro only model, and the reason we will not see 16gb until November in the states is because that is when the 16gb model itself may be set to launch. Wouldn't be the first time I seen this happen, and it happens vice-versa all the time.

So we all know Archos track record, promise the world and deliver an island. As we can see, units are shipping with 2.1, and "promised 2.2" in October. Anyone care guess give there input as to whether 2.2 will hit in October, or will this be a December Christmas treat?

Even if Google were to introduce it in December, and roll it out in January, Archos will want to integrate it into the next Archos because it would be shooting themselves in the foot for the next gen if so. What does the powersaver function under Wifi do exactly?

I vote Archos just allows portrait version of there native one. I like it and It is convenient. Otherwise I am also using Home ++ because it gives a great portrait and is the only one that shows the HTC clock correctly.

I think everyone keeps looking over the fact that they could mean they are implementing the playin TV games into the newer A5A, would be a HUGE disappointment, just saying it is possible. :)

Would it be better, battery wise, to have my music (which I listen to often) on my SD card or unit. I ask because I have a 8gb SD card, and 5gb of music. Kinda don't wanna put like 5gb of music on my 16gb internal as music, and the rest as movies, and also fill the SD with Movies, I like to keep ...

Don't you think it is kind of unfair that we lose our warranties for trying to make this better? Considering the failure rates and having to send it in for a headphone jack or something every few months, i would think hard before putting in that firmware that kills any warranty you may have.
