I've had my archos 5 and dvr station for 10 months. It was working fine until one day i needed to unplug it. Now, my dvr station is not able to record from my cable box. All the connections are the same. I am using component cables to connect. Does anyone have any advice on how to troubleshoot this?...

Program guide still not working. Its been about a month now. This sucks. I noticed when i log into my archos account, the dvr station isnt listed anymore.

I'm in NY and I havent been able to get the program guide to work for weeks. I called the tech support and they told me the server is down. How long can it really be down. Its been weeks already.

Yeh, I have the same problem too. (new york). Been like this for about a week.

I've successfully updated the program guide. Looks like Archos finally fixed its server issue (at least for some of us New Yorkers) =)

Finally, no more error. I was able to update the tv program guide (New York). I havent tested it yet but at least no more error.

Since Archos is taking such a long time trying to fix the tv program guide, when i manually record a program, (within the TV scheduler), is there a faster way to select a channel? Right now when i want to select a channel to record on the archos, i have to scroll through all the channels. Is there a...

I wonder if archos is fixing the problem or if we're going to have to wait months before its fixed. has anyone been able to update?

This is annoying. It was working last week (NY) so i decided to get my wife one. Of course, now both dont update. According to the customer service guy, he said check back in a few days.

I have that problem now. It was working fine until I bought a new Archos5 (for my wife). Now both Archos's can not update. I get an error 256.

thanks, I already have it in harddrive mode. for some reason after connecting to the pc, it will automatically bring in raw files (photos) which eat up a lot of memory. Is there any thing else i can do?

I cant seem to figure this out. I want to manually upload songs and photos into my archos5. Everytime i delete photos and songs (because they duplicate), the Archlib updates and everything is back. How do I get permanently get rid of photos and song only on the archos?

Thats strange. Maybe only some areas can be updated. I'm in NY and it worked. For the past 2 weeks it didnt work. Archos will prob fix it for others soon then.

I updated my program guide. Serious. I was surprised since the last couple of weeks I havent been able to. It updates 3 days at a time.

I got the same thing. Looks like Archos is aware of the problem. Who knows when they'll fix it.
