Re: GFT3 (Stable v1.0) for archos605 wifi (Software Jailbrea
Windows 7 is not so good with smb shares, you need to do some settings in security policy to get that working correctly. (google it and you find it.) Best way is to use an old windows xp machine wich doesn't have this problem.

Little windows-script to batch convert with aviConverter
I was irritated by the fact that you cannot add multiple files at once in aviConverter. So I wrote a little script which when run will try to convert all the video files in the folder from where it is run. It uses the commandline and mencoder from the installed aviConverter.

Re: GFT3 (Stable v1.0) for archos605 wifi (Software Jailbrea
That shouldn't be too hard. Just look at the original restartavos.sh and see what is hex edited in avos, also look at the above mentioned changes to restartavos.sh to get the 605 flash to work. Then look at your own avos file in a hexeditor and see what the changes need to be for you. Adjust the ...

Re: GFT3 (Stable v1.0) for archos605 wifi (Software Jailbrea
I think it can be hacked, only enabling the plugins should need some work. Avos is probably different on the TV+ like it is different on the 605 flash version.
You could try the hack (GFT3) again and rename restartavos.sh to restartavos.shx so it will not be activated. Launch the contentportal and ...

Re: Suggest we stop posting about 70 and 101 until more info
Not so easy Maurice.
Do you have 32 bit or 64 bit?
After installing windows 7 64 bit, smb shares do not work with A5IT.
It worked well with Vista 64bit though.
It doesn't matter atleast for me I have 32 and 64 bit windows 7 running both work the same setting up the SMB share. Setting up upnp ...

Re: Suggest we stop posting about 70 and 101 until more info
Last I tried there are all types of firewalls to disable, some clicks and stuff to activate file sharing, asking you if you really want this or that.. Windows XP seems easier for SMB.
Normal SMB sharing is no different then in XP, firewall (or you have another firewall installed besides the ...

Re: Suggest we stop posting about 70 and 101 until more info
???of course Windows 7 is crap-complicated at setting up SMB
The easy way:
right click folder or drive, choose properties, go to the tab sharing click Share, next screen click Share and your done.

I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. At d00bies urging I redid the first FAQs post, including picking up the user guide link from your reply. But to keep down the clutter, I didn't post a reply announcing this... then Kodiak posts a reply with the third mention of the user guide link.

If you find something that needs doing, and you're willing to do it. Just do it.
There's no need to wait for "official" permission. It's not like anyone will prevent you from posting it.

That is not weird, after a reboot you will always need to run dohack.html after renaming jspluginsx to jsplugins.Lord_galathon wrote:Weird; after rebooting the unit the hack is gone. All the files are still there and ok, I've reran dohack.html and it now works again.

Re: micro sd card size limit
According to the specs it should be SDHC compatible, so it should support microSDHC with 32Gb (i believe it is now the maximum available for microSDHC)
I didn't hear or read from people who could know otherwise.

Look for more info on the gen8 USB ports here at the first post.
The 101 has a full size USB port with a maximum load of 500 mA. The other devices have micro usb with a maximum load of 100mA look here at the second reply.
