I also bought this plug in, and I STILL HAVE a movie without working audio!
Not sure their code's though. DVD's watching on the device is a pretty nice feature, the only thing I really miss is the lack of DVD menu support.

Yeah, but it would be nice, wouldn't it? :Pdm8tbr wrote:I sort out the build issues and you sort out how to retrofit 2GB of RAM into an gen7 device...TheUnknownCylon wrote:KDE 4.4 would be nice, with it's new netbook desktop.

Re: Custom built rootfs using Narcissus
It doesn't build "angstrom-x11-base-depends 1.0-r43.3" for me. Y_Y
Maybe I'm going to install linux on my 5IT. Hope XFCE works, that would be nice. Too bad angstrom dosn't have KDE builds. KDE 4.4 would be nice, with it's new netbook desktop.

Are you setting your hotmail as a POP3 mail (google if not)? Unfortunately there are some 'haken en ogen'...

DVD's on archos
Hello all,
is it possible to select the correct title and chapters using the original DVD menu's?
I've a bunch of StarTrek DVD's. I just want to drop them to my Archos, unfortunately I don't see how to use the real dvd menu's? Is it possible to do so?
It will make life a little bit easier

Hi there, same thing happened to me! I'm not missing songs, but my ARCLibrary does not update at all (5 secs.) I tried to remove all _arcthumb files, but no luck here. When I play music via Music -> Browse Harddisk, the player crashes after 0.5 second! The device just reboots. When I play music via ...

Had something similar with the Gmini. The HDD was broken.
I can not tell you your HDD is broken. Does it spend a lot of time seeking (flashing the red light a lot) with a strange sound?
If the HDD is not the problem, I don't know the issue.

Re: A5A 32gb memory speed
it fails the main purpose if I wanted to put a 720p movie and play it because transferring the file using usb would take forever You can consider buying the HDD version? 32 GB is not much for a lot of 720p movies? You can also stream your videos via your wireless network/ the internet to your device.

No. It's not superfast. It's almost slow... sending files as mass storage device is slow (imho).

Re: VPN For WiFi Hotspots ?
I googled it today. VPN clients do need root. That's usual on linux. I'm not 100% sure, but there is no 'official' way too get root acces on the device. I haven't had the time for testing it. Please let us know when you had any luck. http://code.google.com/p/get-a-robot-vpnc/ http://techha.us/2009/0...

AndNav2
Hello all.
Has anyone tried AndNav2 yet? ( http://andnav.org )
I tried it, but unfortunately it crashes at start up. (The first time I was able to do the first-time wizard.)
I read on their forum that Android 1.6 is required, but that's not their official statement.
Has anyone had success?
