Sideloading BBC iPlayer Files Usage Rights Issue

Hi All, I have got a problem, when I try to download BBC iPlayer content by using either of the following 2 methods they wont play! 1. Download the file, play a few seconds in WMP11 then sync to my A101, then WMP 11 says cannot sync as I do not have usage rights. 2. Download the file play a few seco...

I have also noticed that if I do a search again for Adobe Flash this is after I have done the fix it does not show up on the marketplace. thanks a...

ARCTOOLS Marketplace install missing Google Maps, youtube

Hi Everyone, I installed the marketplace on my 101 and used ARCTOOLS via Appslib but not all the standard apps have installed such as Google Maps and YouTube. Has anyone got the fix for this, on the ARCTOOLS website it has recognised this issue but has not come up with a resolution as yet. I have no...

Re: WiFi problem with Internet Tablet 32/43

Hi,

Well the new firmware worked, it would not let me update automatically or manually at first, but after a factory reset which somebody else had to do on another thread it took the firmware, all is now working both old and new ARCHOS units are working perfectly!

WiFi problem with Internet Tablet 32/43

Hi, I have a small issue in the respect that when I try to log on to my home wifi network (Netgear DGN3500 Gigabit Router) the moment either of the ARCHOS units shows as being connected, the router reboots! This has never been a problem with any other devices, including the older ARCHOS units. I hav...

Re: Blu-Ray to ARCHOS

Hi Guys, thanks for all your replies, I did actually try the DVD FAB Blue Ray Ripper on the free trial but I used a fixed output file size of 1GB and resolution of 720x400 this resulted in a blocky image, now when I used to use those settings on DVD's they were excellent when viewing on the Archos. ...

Blu-Ray to ARCHOS

Hi Everyone, I have run a search but the posts I found are somewhat out of date, I already have DVDFAB and Slysoft ANYDVDHD and I know it is fairly easy to rip my Blu-Rays to my PC Hard Drive but are any of you making them suitable to play on the ARCHOS? I don't have the option on DVDFAB "Blu-Ray to...

They announced this as an 'Internet Tablet', I was so stocked, thinking I had found a 5" competitor to the Iphone.
The ARCHOS competitor to the iphone will be a phone.

Re: Ordered mine on Thursday - Arrived Friday!

Charbax, I can almost 100% guarantee this device does NOT support keyboards, mice, game-pads or anything else. I think I may not even go through the trouble of having to return the device and just cancel the order. Same sound and no USB control option breaks it for me. But just like Flash, you will...

Re: Mac not supported!!!!!!!!

I have 3 of them 2 x 32GB and a 160GB, Yes I am trying them out, the OP is correct, I just tried it on my Macbook Pro and it does require the EXT3 driver. This is hardly ARCHOS's fault though. You also need the driver for Vista too. The thing is if you dont want the large file limitations, EXT3 over...

I am running it on Vista home premium as an MSC device which I downloaded the correct driver EXT3, it also works fine as Windows Media Device too.

Haven't tried it on my Macbook Pro yet.

Where do you get your Video Content from?plus itunes query.

Hi, I am trying to find out what Video format is used by itunes, I wondered if downloaded movies could be viewed on my Archos. I know that apple have removed DRM protection from music so tunes bought from them will play on my Archos, but I am unsure about Movies or Video Content. I know many use tor...

Re: Gen 6 Helmetcam

ARCHOS have never released, nor will be releasing, a headcam for Gen6 products. You can use a Gen5 headcam with the A5/7 using a Gen6 DVR Snap-on however. How can they not release a headcam for the 5? It's even one of the options on the 5 in the Add-On bit. I don't doubt for 1 minute that it hasn't...

Re: Mac Users-Advice Needed Ripping DVD's

Handbrake is excellent, but be aware I've had problems with H.264 files created with the latest version. Lots of freezing and reboots, from what I can gather I think it has something to do with the frame rate settings. The freezing and reboots I take you mean on the Archos and not the Mac????? SDM1...
