I'd still like to know what the problem is, though. nz is a man (or woman) of few words.

Re: Tracks appear in hard dik but not library
This is a strange problem. There are some mp3 tracks that are not recognised by my A5 library. They appear in the hard drive view, but not under 'Artists'. For example, on one album that has six tracks, all six appear in hard drive, but only four in artist/album. I have studied the file properties ...

Thanks for your reply. As far as I can tell, my tags are clean; and, as I said, they are identical to the the tracks on the album that do appear in the library. I've tried clearing temporary files, with no luck.
nz: how do I make the tracks available to you?

I've had this problem, and I thought that all the connections were properly inserted, but when I double checked, I found one wasn't.

Re: Archos 5 - BBC Iplayer - Should it work
I've downloaded the portable version. It's .wmv file and when I try to play it, I get a 'no license found for this file'. Do I need to buy a license? I went to the Archos site and I couldn't see a plug in for .wmv files.

Re: Concerning 5th of November
In forums, as in real life, you will always find the odd person who seems to derive satisfaction from being aggressive. What they get from being like that, I can't imagine. But I've found that the majority of posters here are helpful and friendly. As has been pointed out, you can't really search if ...

Re: Are you satisfied with your Archos 5?
I know this might not be relevant but i think people need to keep their expectations realistic and also realise that the grass is not always greener on the other side. I've had an iPod Touch and an iPod Classic - lets not try to kid ourselves to the idea that there is this perfection out there - th...

Re: Are you satisfied with your Archos 5?
Yes, I do think that Archos doesn't do itself any favours. I can't offhand think of any other gadget manufacturer that is criticised to the extent that Archos is for their poor service. They also seem to be inordinately money-grabbing too: every extra seems to be chargeable (codecs - I'm looking, fo...

Re: Are you satisfied with your Archos 5?
I can honestly say that I have had no significant problems with my 5 (touch wood). It doesn't crash, the video quality is good, I can browse web pages without interruption, the touch screen is great, the menu system for browsing music is the best I've come across, the battery life is perfectly accep...

Re: Are you satisfied with your Archos 5?
Slightly more than half of the people on Archosfans.com actually like their archos. Not exactly a ringing endorcement of the product. Looks like a lot of "archosfans" don't really like them that much. :D Don't forget that if you're happy with the product, odds are that you're not going to look for ...

Re: Just bought an archos 5 and having problem! Plz take a look.
Sorry - on XP it is Checkdisk. There a good PDF on using it here: http://www.xpscandisk.com/ Or you can open a command prompt to run chkdsk (but don't forget to right click it and 'run as administrator'). I've just chkdsk'd a hard drive and it appeared to get stuck, but I left it overnight, and it w...
