Hi RyFish, while it is true that the x264 codec does support the baseline profile, the VFW version that VirtualDubMod uses does not let you select it in the compression settings configuration of it. If you are using an application like meGUI you get another configuration setup window that allows you...

As you may have read in my previous posts on this thread IÔÇÖve been unsuccessfully trying to encode H264 video with VirtualdubMod. The reason I wanted to do so was the advanced filtering available in VirtualdubMod. Seeing the vast amount of videos on the web in the Flash format (***.flv) made me wa...

Just an update on my efforts to re-encode ***.flv video files with VirtualdubMod to H264 files that will play on the Archos player. IÔÇÖve done a lot of testing without any luck so I did a little research. VirtualdubMod uses the open source implementation of H264 called X264 and what I found out is ...

Hi bagman, easy is not what I'm after, quality & control by using two-pass encoding, and cutting out unwanted sections of the FLV1 files, along with de-blocking exc. is. These lower quality streamed videos need all the help they can get when I'm re-encoding them for archiving on the Archos!

I would like to use VirtualdubMod to re-encode FLV1 Flash files downloaded from sites like YouTube into H264 video files (I have the plug-in). I have programs that can do this, but I would also like to use VirtualdubMod because it offers more filtering options, and trimming of the videos length. I a...

Roxy99, I'm pretty sure it's a DivX video because I encoded it myself, and GSpot shows it as a DivX version 5 video file. I do have the Podcast plug-in so it's not an H264 video file, and I don't think H264 had come out yet in 2002. I remember back then that I had the option of using the ***.mp4 ext...

Problem with older DivX ver video files.

I have a movie that was encoded 5 years ago to DivX and it has the extension ***.mp4 and it plays fine on the computer using VLC. When I transfer it to the Archos it causes the player to reboot when I even look for the file in Videos folder. When looking a the movies properties in VLC it shows that ...

Hi piranhaleg, a couple of days ago I bought a very similar speaker system at Walmart. It has the same speakers and looks the same. It was called a TuneBox for the iPod and was on clearance for $11.00. IÔÇÖm happy enough with the audio it produces, and it included an AC adapter.

WMV1, & WMV2 request.

Hello to everyone, this is my first post on this helpful forum. The 04 series of PMP players do support Windows Media Video WMV3 (version nine), but will not play WMV1 (version seven), & WMV2 (version eight) video files. I like to download streaming web videos using the Firefox extension Unplug. The...
