So far so good. Updated last night. All of the music files that were dragging are now working. Only one blip on start up this morning. Nothing major so far.

okay archos support got my gps icon back and I was able to load the program off the maps disc. you have to put the ndrive ipk in the download file and run it from there not the root file. i still dont have maps showing but its a start.. i loaded the north america and canada maps but they dont ...

I did this but dont have the GPS icon in my apps.. how do I get that back>

didnt work for me.... gives me a missing image file error.

I made the ndrive file with itinearies (sp) and maps in it. Moved the files to the maps. loaded onto the archos where it replaced the ndrive folder that was there.... rebooted no joy. restarted cold boot no joy. same problem

Even after doanloading and installing the new version I still cant get the GPS program to dump the maps to my A5 500gb unit. Contacted Archos and they said to do the load and call abck. I have the "rough Leather " version. Costs a bit more but its suede like and fantastic. Its slightly bulkier on the edges but that's protection. Its great to handle and makes the 5 look all the more better.

Okay 3 web sites loaded as short cuts on home screen. All work great and no problems at all.. woo weeeee I like IT!

I am waiting on my replacement 5 250g from Amazon. My original worked great except you only got sounds in the right earphone when you plugged in the headset. Sucks! But! Amazon is sending me a new unit via 2 day shipping. It should be here tomorrow. I will have to reload all my tunes though.

About the question of "can you connect the docks while in the case. The answer is not with the archos docks but for power from wall or car you can buy the gomatic ones which work great. I have bought them for my 504 and 605 and am waiting for the company to make the tips for the 5 then I will buy ...

Just noticed that my mini cam will not record with the 2.1.04 firware. I tried everything. It shows an error as soon as you try and start recording.
