I really made a mistake a year or so ago, by loading Windows 8 on my Archos 9.

It was so bad I had to put the Archos 9 on the shelf, and use something else.

I now retired, have some time, and have been monkeying around with the Arhos 9 for days, trying to get it "back graded" to the original Windows 7 OS.... No luck, can't figure it out.

Have searched for solutions on line but only find articles for more current issues.

Could someone point me in the right direction for a potential solution to this problem.

I called Archos Help number, offered to pay for a solution and they told me it was Microsofts problem, not theirs. A little rude but I guess I understand. And we all know how difficult it can be to get any help from Microsoft.

Hope someone knows, otherwise I will just need to trash the unit.
