I just got my case in the mail, it fits perfectly. A few loose strings here and there that I had to cut off, but besides that it is excellent quality and I'm happy with it!

Here it is propped up on my desk! http://i54.tinypic.com/rc61iv.jpg

When using the leather case as a stand, does it only prop up in one position (angle), or can you elevate it in different positions like you can do with the tablet's built-in kick stand?

Anyone have issues with this case just kind flopping over when using it to stand up the 101. It seems a bit unstable. Am I asking too much?

Mine does that if I don't pull the tab piece all the way up, and push the base of the stand out as I go. You can see in my pictures how it stands.

Sometimes I don't set it up properly, and it does fall over.

Also: I'll post more pictures later, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to everyone. Been a rough couple of weeks at work.

I've posted new pictures on the original post. They're located underneath the old ones.

I have this case for the 70 and it seems like it is made to be viewed in landscape mode only. In other words, one of the sides is completely exposed and the Archos can slip out if you are holding it in portrait mode. I am trying to think of a do-it-yourself solution to fix this design flaw. :?

Mine arrvied today. The build quality is excellent. $40 was a tad steep, but not so much that I would call it over priced. As mentioned in the original post, the strap/latch/lock assembly is stiff; I suspect it will losen up a bit in time. I would prefer a lower viewing angle from the stand, but other than that minor quibble, I'm very statisfied with the case.

I finally got my case from newmp3technology yesterday, too. I really like it. I also ordered the screen protector but ended up not keeping it on my 101. The screen protector that I ordered was not anti-glare and it added more glare to the screen than I liked. That, coupled with the fact that I couldn't get air bubbles out even using the credit card trick, led me to remove it. I think I'll be ordering one of the anti-glare screen protectors from ebay and, hopefully, won't experience as many problems with air bubbles when installing it.

This is the screen protector I got: http://cgi.ebay.com/Anti-Glare-Screen-Protector-Archos-101-Internet-Tablet-/260690095378?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb2572d12

My personal impression of the screen protector: It gets the job done. Cuts down on glare by quite a bit (I sit at my table under a 5-bulb hanging light about 4 feet above me).
The touchscreen isn't effected at all by the protector, still just as responsive as ever (can hover your finger ~1mm away and have it activate).
The protector fits perfectly over the touch part of the screen if placed carefully. It's cut to be just slightly smaller than the actual screen area. It sits in ~0.4mm from the bezel on all sides.

I hope this helps anyone that's questioning whether or not they should get these accessories for their A101.

Aloha Harfainx,

Thanks for the photos and the review. I just ordered the screen protector from the ebay seller. It was $9.95 with free shipping to USA. I paid $4 for expedited shipping (two weeks sooner). I'm really interested in anti-glare since I want to use my A101 outdoors, in parks and at the beach. Your second set of photos and the ebay photos convinced me.

Thanks again :)

Allen

lol I should get a commission from these sites for selling their items for them.

Seriously though, I'm glad to see that I could help people decide what to get (or what not to get if you don't like it).

We ordered one of these and I can only think that we must have received a defective product. The small bottom flap that connects the back to the part that should make it stand up pushes out and after about 15 seconds the entire thing falls over. I've contacted the company twice about it, but don't seem to be getting a response. Anyone else have this problem?

Just ordered mine.

I do a lot of traveling and it will be interesting to see how it holds up.

m1k3g,

You need to use the leather tongue to keep the case upright--feed it through the loop. Look at Harfainx's photos (especially ##s 9-12). You'll see how you should feed the tongue through the loop to keep the case in the upright position. Good luck.

Thanks, we have tried that. Unfortunately putting the tongue through the loop doesn't stop the small flap at the bottom from eventually pushing out the bottom and causing the stand to fall over backwards. It's either a poor design or a defective case. Same response we had from the seller, I've even sent them a picture of the case falling over but had no response on that.
