Video: solve some videos not correctly displayed

Does that mean video with weighted P frames work now?

My heart's all aflutter... one of my biggest issues addressed at last? I'll find out soon enough...

UPDATE: Currently copying 7.27 GB worth of VOB files from my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 via USBNet using the new firmware... 3+ GB and the connection is still stable, which has never happened before. This is good news! Still not a speed demon compared to the the old way of mounting the Archos 5 directly, but I'll take any improvement I can get. Looks like no more Windows file transfers or flaky FTP for me! :-)

Does Marketplace work with this patch, if it was already installed with 1.4.09 or do I have to reinstall it.

Yes, apparently no effect on Market. Works for me.

up 1.4.09 > added Market >> up 1.4.16 >>> market still OK.

Anyone hear anything about Tethering via bluetooth support ? Looks like only a few handsets can connect via tether...Its unfortunate that I got a BB 9700 with 3G specifically for this, and does not work :(

Another day, another Archos crash...

Tried updating the firmware, it froze on the "Archos Entertainment your way" screen and now won't start anymore. I'll probably have to recover again and start from scratch...

It's more like "Archos - Aggravation our way"

Recovered through recovery manager, now it seems to take twice as long to boot up and my WiFi no longer works.

Nice fix guys! Great job!

He probably is asking which is Archos going to upgrade to, not whether or not it was upgraded yet.

Here's an interesting "fix" from the new firmware:

My date is now set to December 31 1969 and it's 7:25pm.

Wow, what's in like back in the swinging sixties? Your Archos should really look impressive at your new years eve party. lol

Still cant resume playlist that I made on the Archos itself. Everytime I try to resume it says that it cannot find media. Is there a certain folder that I am supposed to put my playlists besides the folder labeled playlist.

I updated the firmware and it is stuck on the Archos Entertainment your way screen. How do you fix this issue?

Well two firmware re-installs (one through recovery manager) and about a dozen reboots and it seems to be working again (knocking on wood).
