Well I'm downloading atm, but seriously, u should host this as a torrent as well, 125 kb/s is way too slow.

Ill report on this once this painfully slow DL is done. :D

would love to but unless premium these files would take me 2 days to download...stays at 42KB/Sec.
Already have premium for megaupload and rapidshare, can't afford to purchase anymore premium accounts.

Ok Pikachu88, this is what I do in order to "convert' a -website flash-(flash animation) to an animated wallpaper for the Archos

1 - Get the .swf file from the website you want to use
Using downthemall plug-in for firefox - www.downthemall.net

2 - Convert the flash file .swf to video
Using swf2videopro - www.ADShareit.com

3 - Crop, Resize, Format the video file to this specs

DivX Video DX50
720x432
25 fps - 30 fps
No Audio

Using TMPGEnc XPress - http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/

Thats it !, easy as it looks...

Any question ?
I'm always online c*a*r*l*o*s*_*t*a*r*e*l*l*o*@*h*o*t*m*a*i*l*.*c*o*m :D

did anyone notice that the wallpaper is no longer animated if you let music playing in the background? I guess it's because archos make the system so that music/video will stop when you access another media file...since the wallpaper is a .avi file so it stops once you start playing music.

Thanks for these animated wallpapers.

I put them on my archos 5g, chose one of them (clouds) and set it as background - but there is no motion, no animation, just a wallpaper.

Any idea what went wrong?

Connect your archos to pc in "PC Hard Drive" mode and put the .avi files in the "System" folder.
You will then be able to choose them from Tools --> Settings --> Appearance.

Thanks for your help. I┬┤m not exactly sure in which mode i connected my archos with the PC but what difference does it make where i put these avi┬┤s? I didn┬┤t put them in any folder, just put them in the main directory.

I choose a file out of the file browser and start the avi-file. Through the context menue i can choose wether to set up a wallpaper, bookmark or what so ever.

*edit*

so, i connected my 5g in another way with the PC and this way i saw the system-folder. I put the avi-files in there and have now the animated clouds as wallpaper, many thanks!
