Hello
I was thinking about a poll for a Themed Series new tablet
ARCHOS STORAGE

It could be same hardware of GAMEPAD and TITANIUM 70 with 8GB of internal flash memory for system and applications BUT with 1TB or 500 GB internal Hard disk rather than SD card.

I think that many of us would like to use a new 7" with impressive hardware of Titanium and Gamepad but with hard disk for our multimedia.

Archos still sells A70 it gen 8 with hard disk 250gb on his market, but it is obsolete ( I have it )
I suggest also to use same shape of Gen 8 with frontal speakers and extandable stick behind but with Titanium IPS screen :-).

I can't suffer the lackness of a new HARD DISK Tablet !!!!!
ARCHOS I ( and I hope WE) want it !!!! :D

I might prefer a nonmicro sdcard slot. 128gb is affordable now, and 256gb sdxc will be. Untie the fate of your data storage from your device... easy migration and all.

... or internal space for a usb flash drive.

looking at the G9 threads, hdd and android is an uneasy mix, whereas flash-based storage uses less power and does not suffer from spin-up delays, rotational delays or head seek time. much more sensible for Archos to concentrate on other things than patching android to work well with rotational media.

Yes in fact I was thinking to use the internal flash 8GB for system and applications and HARD DRIVE for media content.
I have the A70it with HD and many applications are on Hard drive so I have lags.
If I had 8 GB of internal flash Hard drive should be used only for music and movies

I would definitely pick up a nice sized tablet (maybe 7-8 inch) if it were mainly for storage and media purposes.

8-16GB internal storage (for apps and firmware), with a slim SSD of 128 or 256GB for media (yes, this would raise the cost). Throw in a full-sized USB, and a full-sized SDXC slot, and you've got a serious media powerhouse.

Just read an article about new Western Digital pushing new hard drives and solid state hybrid drives. They're only 5mm thick.

One of those would be nice to see in an Archos devices. They could retain the slim form factor, while adding a large amount of space for a media themed device.

SEGATE and Western Digital presented at TAIPEI--At Computex 2013 first Hard Drive hibrid for tablets
probably we will see some tablet with 500GB inside and I will be able to let my Archos 70it 250 GB rest in peace finally !
