Hallo,
On my computer I can see my Archos Reader IP and I have given my home directory for free to view on other diveces as my e-reader.
On My Archos 70b, with an App called Network Discovery, I can see my computer ID and my smartphone ID.
After clicking my computer ID, I see 22/tcp (ssh) SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.9
So, I have a connection in home network and can see my network devices.
Please, What have I to do more in order to see some data from my PC on my Archos tablet ?
Many thanks in advance,
Gaston Verhulst.

What operating system are you running on your PC?

You need to enable Windows (SMB) sharing on your home directory so that the Archos can see it.

On the Archos go to :
Apps -> Files -> Network -> Shared folders (SMB) -> {workgroup-name } -> {PC-name} -> {share-name}

I am running Linux Fedora 17 with Gnome.
On my Archos in Files, I do not see Network.
I think the problem is in my Network settings on my Linux Computer.
Perhaps I would asked it in a Linux Fedora forum?

Private Pictures, PDF documents ...
On my tablet, I have an internet connection, so I can see websites.
I also can put my pictures and pdf's on Dropbox or HiDrive.
But, I would make a try to do it with a homenetwork.

You need for ask on the Fedora forum for help installing/setting up Samba on your PC.

http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fed ... onfiguring
http://www.howtoforge.com/fedora-17-sam ... am-backend

Samba shares files using the SMB/CIFS protocol.

Many thanks for trying to help.
I have done the whole tutorial "Fedora 17 Samba Standalone Server With tdbsam Backend", but with the same result.
On my tablet I can see the computer, but in Files, I cannot see Network.
I also ask some help in the Fedoraforum in order to release Files or Directories.
Greetings,
Gaston Verhulst

Are you talking about the "ARCHOS 70b internet tablet" or "ARCHOS 70b eReader"?

Sorry, I can't help you. This forum is for the 70b Internet Tablet.

You should post your question in the correct forum: viewforum.php?f=82
