Hi,

My Arnova G2 has stopped being recognised by PCs. Have tried with Windows XP and Vista. This first happened after I turned it off by mistake whilst connected to my PC, therefore not expelling it safely first (don't know if this is relevant though).

Help would be IMMENSELY appreciated! :)

Well, I don't know the PC equivilent for this... but on my Mac one of my Archos stopped making itself known to the screen automatically. I have to click on the my mac symbol which shows all devices.

If that doesn't help, you could take the more drastic step of android reset (from settings?) which will clobber your apps but not your data. It has some other good effects in clearing the cobwebs in the system. You can back up your apps first with es file explorer app (app mgt section).

Also you can check the arnovatech site to see if a new firmware has been issued, which will also clobber your apps but give a fresh start.

received this advice from arnovo

Dear Customer,

Once the device is connected to the pc, you must enable the usb connection from the usb screen displayed on your device.

Kind Regards,
Arnova Technical Support

plug usb lead into pc and G2

pick-- bars top right of screen

brings box up base of screen

pick-- NOTIFICATIONS -

USB connected--pick this
should give TURN ON storage screen--pick
WORKS FOR ME transferred photos to "D " (SD card in G2) from PC
