Did you try this?

Quote:
For Windows users only: Install the Archos ADB USB Driver for Windows. The driver is available at the ARCHOS support ftp (ftp://support.archos.com). Instructions how to install the driver are available at USB Driver for Windows site on Android Developers.

Add Archos vendor ID (0x0e79) to adb_usb.ini in .android folder in your home directory:

Windows: echo 0x0e79 >> "%USERPROFILE%\.android\adb_usb.ini"

http://www.archos.com/support/support_t ... us&lang=en

That is for ADB, but it might help to get your device to be picked up by your PC.

Or are you having a problem when you try to mount the tablet to your computer to transfer data?

Did you have a look at this wiki article?

See also this post and the one before. That user had the same issue and probably found a solution. You might pm him to ask. I don't have windows so I wouldn't know.

Thanks for the post..But, i did look at the wiki page..The steps aren't working for me. Is it possible that the tablet is just no good.I just cant figure out why its not showing up in computer when i plug it up.Cause if i can get it there, then i can get it to work by taking out the firmware that caused it and put back the original.

There are more issues known on win7 64bit machines.
Did you already try a 32bit XP or Vista machine?
