Hello all,

A friend of mine has Archos Arnova 7f G3 bought on 28th of August 2012. Last week we noticed that it stopped charging.
We tried a new charger without success, which led us to the fact that something went wrong with the main board of the tablet.

As every consumer, who has paid for a device and expects after sales support and warranty, especially from a respectable company such as Archos, we communicated with the technical support which is closer to us (Romania) in order to arrange for a repair under warranty.

Below i post the mail communication, and a simple question of mine:

Terms & Conditions:
- This repair carries a minimum charge of 4.00 EUR . This is for diagnostics and to cover engineers time. The minimum charge is only applicable if you refuse the quote or if your device is deemed beyond economical repair.

This repair carry a limited 90 days warranty unless the unit is liquid damaged where the limited warranty will be 30 days. Please check website for further details of warranty info.

Please advise what am i missing here. what does this mean?
Do i have warranty? If not, why Archos talks about one year warranty?

is for laughs, and is going to be included in my top 10 list of failed answers.
Yes my friend you repair for money, - we all work for money aren't we? -
but keep in mind that what you repair is already paid with OUR money,
thus it should include a warranty or at least some proper directions to help us in finding an appropriate representative and not "throw us to the recycle bin" and then "empty recycle bin" by sending a "kind regards".

Is the Romanian service center a different organization, which does not obey the general Terms and Conditions of Archos company ?
If this is the case, please advise which service center complies with Terms and Conditions in order to use my warranty
and have a repair.
