Original Title of this post: Anti-Glare screen protector for Archos101

Hello everybody :D ,

I found this item (Anti-Glare Screen protector for Archos 101) while performing my daily check for the 101 availability on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Anti-Glare-Screen-Protector-Archos-101-Internet-Tablet-/220685018810?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3361da26ba

Does anybody know, or tried, if this kind of anti-glare screen protectors work on capacitive touch screens such as the 101?

Thanks!

Not tried that one, but this one is a combined Anti-Glare, rain stopper that hides your evil intent when pulled close around the screen. :)

Soz, I am terrible... :o

It will probably work, I have the same type of screen protector on my iphone and the touch screen is working great with it.

I'm wondering if I should get one though, does anyone know if the screen is glass or any hard material? I won't be taking the tablet with me a lot so I'm wondering if this is a necessity!

Also, it will be kind of hard to install this perfectly without any dust or alignment problem given the screen size what do you think???

I'm probably going to get a 3-pack of iPad protectors from HandHelditems.com.

While I was testing my Android phones (Nexus One, Evo, Samsung Captivate) I got screen protectors from them and they were great.

At $10 for three iPad protectors, I can cut them down with a razor knife and be good to go.

Does anti glare screen protector help glossy screen a lot for outdoor usage? I am thinking about using A70 also as an outdoor ebook reader.

hey are the display screens on the 70/101 actual type of glass or a hard plastic? iPads use "Gorilla Glass" or something like that

Doesn't matter ... you can still see window reflection in the screen ... but it could just as well be photoshopped to look that good.

My guess is plastic, but I am sure someone who actually have one can tell us for sure :)

OK I'm a touchscreen newb so I got the questions:

- Will I need a screen protector for my Archos 101
- Where do I buy one that fits?
- Will a screen protector be included with the product itself?

There's an anti glare one advertised on eBay with exact fit, ships from Hong Kong but I've had tonnes of screen protectors from Hong Kong & some are good, some bad, most are made there anyway.

This thing has a capacitive touchscreen, right? One thing I've wondered about is since this thing is capacitive, wouldn't putting a screen protector on it disrupt the conduction between the finger and the screen, effectively disabling the touchscreen?
