Until a few weeks ago my Archos 70IT was working fine. Then for no apparent reason every time I started it up I get a series of error messages stating, for example, "The application Bluetooth share (process com.android.bluetooth) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". I get similar messages for a variety of applications including Google update firmware, email and others, I can't recall them all.

Particularly annoying is that the inbuilt video player will not run, process com.archos.video, giving the "stopped unexpectedly message" every time I try to run it to play a video. The message still appears if I Stop Alll Programs in the system monitor.

I updated the firmware to the latest version 2.4.83 (Android2.2.1) but this did not clear the problem. How can I stop the messages appearing and, particularly, how can I get the video running again?

I tried contacting Archos but was simply told the product is no longer sold and is out of warranty. The PC I use to contact to the tablet runs Win7.

All help gratefully received
Bill

I've never seen those messages, but be aware that too many apps drive this device nuts. Various sticky topics in the general gen 8 section tell how to diagnose this and reduce the app space crowding.

I found a message on the board saying that a similar error meant that the tablet need to be reflashed with a link to the Wikimedia site. When I try to get to that site I get the following error "MediaWiki internal error. Exception caught inside exception handler"

Could anyone tell me how to get to this site or read the FAQs etc please

Bill
