Have you tried holding the power button down for 10 seconds?

Yes, i've tried it, but doesn't work either....

I've tried to plug it in to the PC to do a hard reset, but PC doesn't find the tablet( tablet does nothing at all when i do this, only the power light indicates that it is charging)

I'm getting desperate...

The only thing I've found that worked consistently in this situation was to plug in the charger, wait 10mins or so and press the power button for 10secs. This allowed the battery to get enough charge to start the device and the power reset was the kickstart it needed to get going.

This always worked for me, but I think you've tried this and in more my problem was always a completely empty battery rather than a hardware issue that you might have.

Hope you find a way to bring it back from the dead. I don't use my A70IT now as I've upgraded to a Nexus7 but I've handed it over to her indoors, and I have to say I still love it as it was a great device for what we paid, likewise the Nexus.
