I'm thinking about getting a wireless keyboard for my Archos 70. I've heard that the Apple wireless keyboard is good. Are there other suggestions? Any other recommended accessories besides a case?

I got this KB for my A70: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YKDDYS
After the initial learning curve(instructions are VERY bad, I read a few reviews on Amazon and figured it out), it is a very nice KB. I have the Tuffluv tri axis leather case for the A70 and the KB is the same length, a bit shorter. Overall, I really like it. It is actually built very well, I was expecting it to be somewhat flimsy, but it is pretty sturdy.

I like the Rii for a mini sized keyboard since it has a touchpad. I like the Apple wireless for a full sized keyboard.

I also use the iGo Stowaway. It worked great with my nokia N800 and is still going strong with my Archos 70. The bluetooth connects everytime and its a good size for portability. :p

Hi,

I have a bluetooth iGo Stowaway also, and tried to connect it to my Archos 70, but it didn't seem to work.

Can you please share with me how you get the two to work well together?

Many thanks,
Mike

I assume you are following the pairing instructions found in the iGo manuals, for example this one:

http://corporate.igo.com/support/downlo ... ual_us.pdf

(You don't need to install anything on the Archos, but you do need to make the keyboard "discoverable" and exchange a numeric passkey.)

The thing that initially tripped me up was that you have to press "Enter" on the keyboard after typing the pairing code/passkey (you also need to hold down the blue "Fn" key to type numbers). Once I got that down, the keyboard paired no problem, and it works great.

If you've done all that--sorry, not sure I have any other suggestions. Um, check the obvious things, like making sure Bluetooth is enabled on the tablet, making sure there are good batteries in the keyboard, etc.

Best of luck!
