Android_ID not populated

After upgrading to 2.2 and installing the google market I tried installing the game called "racing live" and I got an error saying "Device is Missing Android ID". Installed "Android ID Changer" and found out that archos is not populating ANDROID_ID

Android ID Changer needs root to work, anybody know why Archos would not be populating this value? If its a bug is there somewhere I can email archos and let them know?

Awesome some of my favorite iphone apps have the same problem on my 101/70

I wonder if the missing Androd_ID is what causes some Apps, like SketchBook Mobile, to FC (Force Close)?

Does nz mean the next firmware release? Based on history when will that happen?

Well with the new firmware its populated but with dead00beef. Of course it looks like all the other archos tablets have the same ID when it is supposed to be a unique id for every tablet. Yes instead of a unique id they decided to put dead00beef

For now, I don't care what they called it since it worked for me to get Sketchbook Mobile working again on both my A70S and 16G A101.

Well I'm glad for you that you got what you wanted. But really how hard could it be to just use the serial number and/or time to get a unique number that works for everyone.
