The USB data transfer cable that came with my Archos 70 home I.T. (250 gb) seems to have died on me, and I've been searching for a "normal" priced replacement...will this one work? ... 41765867b2

It says its for the "tablet ereader" but would Archos name one tablet so closely to another but have different USB cables?

While on this topic, what accessories do you guys feel are cool/essential for the Archos 70 tablet? It's such a great piece of technology that no matter how slowly it works, I want to keep it around for a while. What would you guys recommend?

Not sure about the cable, but thought it was the same standard usb cable that came with my last 5 other devices including samsung, and I have even lost track which came with my a70. I just grab a random one for usb transfer... well, the one with a fat cylinder sometimes works better, because that is an EM filter.

You can probably even omit any cable in favor of an ftp app to do the transferring. However the a70 runs fastest with the bare minimum number of apps installed. Mine runs fast if I keep 60mb free in system memory or whatever it's called.

My favorite and only accessory is a 64gb sdhx(?) card. It had to be reformatted to work on the a70, but that is the only device which doesn't get bogged down with long multimedia indexing runs when booting up with that card. Due to the 250gb potential they must have had to smarten up indexing, whereas samsung player etc does a whole reindex on bootup and freezes forever with it.

I love my a70... very hard to find stereo front speakers which is important to me. I use an old samsung player 4.2 for the same reason. The a70 battery still holds a long charge great after all these years. I can leave it on sleep all the time without the charge bleeding out, unlike many of my other devices.
