Hello folks!
Today I noticed that the A9 speakers sounded very bad, and after a while no sound came out from them.
Volume was close max, also media player. I re-installed the driver but the problem persisted.
When plugging the earphones, sound was perfect.
I have 3 theories:
1- Hardware problem #1, which could be a bad or loose speakers connection (how this can be? no idea)
2- Hardware problem #2, since the problem appeared one day after I used the hearphones for the very first time, probalby a bad connection in the earphone jack, which makes the externals speakers go on and off
3- An esotheric settings or other software problem.

Any ideas? I have the temptation of open the 5 screws in the A9's back to take a look, but since I'm not a techie guy I'm afraid of screw it up....

Thanks
Claudio

Hard to say what the issue is, but I've had similar issues with a desktop and a notebook. Turn out to be a BIOS issue.

I bought my Archos 9 at a Archos retailer, when my Archos 9 had a hd issue 2 months ago, I just brought it to the media store were I bought it explained the problem and got a brand new one (after 3 weeks waiting)
Are there any Archos retailers in the US?
