Later EDIT: It seems it install the same drivers and i have same problem... Found bluetooth devices, paired, communications is working... sometimes. I'll try to find out what is wrong. Anyone else tried?

Hey plouat... how did you install the touchscreen drivers and got them to work properly? I did install them, but the touchscreen still doesn't work. No problem with all the other drivers though - thank you very much for the links!

Edit:Nevermind, just got it to work! =)

I need help !!
When installing Bluetooth drivers, the software recognizes the device.
It says Device Detected, but fails Validation. and I get a cancel option. Any idea how to proceed.
The audio drivers installing software says something like no driver available for the device and fails. (Ares link from How to install XP from CD/ USB Forum)
I got the keyboard, touch screen, Graphics all installed fine.

Just installing the bluetooth drivers right now, and I just passed Validating phase... o.O It's at "Downloading" now.
There was no problem installing audio neither for me... Are you sure you did download the version for XP (my link should get you to a screen where you can select the os specific version)? Only problems I had was figuring out what to select when installing the touchscreen drivers.

Hi.

Don't know if it still is important but, here it is...

Disable the wireless card and rebooted the ARCHOS 9.
Windows informs that new hardware was found (Bluethoot)...
Run SetupBtwDownload.exe.
Reboot the ARCHOS 9 (again)...
Bluthoot configuration wizard shows up... Run it...
Activate WIFI lan card...
Bluethoot device is deactivated...

Cant get it to work unless i deactivate the WIFI and reboot...

Anyone has a solution?

I have the same problem here. When I dowload the Broadcom drivers from here "http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php", the installer just freeze after a while (during validation) and nothing get installed....
What is the solution to get the drivers so I can pair some devices using bluetooth.
I have archos 9 with windows 7.
I strongly appreciate your help.

webcam works fine, bluetooth also got installed, but i didn't use it so far, as i dont have bluetooth devices to pair with my a9.

just wanted to say: i have installed winXP and ubuntu, and i experienced no major problems with xp. ubuntu made me go insane, concerning the installation of those paulsbo drivers for the intel grafics-chip, but after they got installed, ubuntu also runs fine.

Just installed WinXP Pro and everything is working fine. I have not tried Bluetooth just yet though. I like Win 7 but running Winxp on the Archos 9 is a nice experience. It needs less resources and as a result it's much faster. I personally feel that Win 7 is a little too much for Archos 9.
