Which electronics chain store will carry it?
I would like to check it out first before considering buying it. Any major stores like Best Buy or Fry's will carry it?

Neither has indicated (yet) that they will carry the 9. We're lucky (in the USA) that Best Buy stock the 5it 16GB on the shelves.
Fry's used to stock Archos in the stores back in the AV500 days. Not anymore.
