Has it always been called "Archos Technology"?

I want one too, but i wonder how much it will cost. Having windows 7 probably added a hefty price, microsoft does not donate, lol
since when are they archos technology, that has to be new.

Great, but will it do what it's supposed to do? I think it's pretty safe to say that by the time all the bugs are sorted and firmware upgrades are released in order to make it useable..........it will be obsolete! For once, probably due to past and present experiences, this is one major archos release which i'm not even slightly excited about. Shame really.

I thought their next big thing was going to run android...windows 7? Are we talking about 2 new flagship products coming up? I can only imagine how much their service, support, and stability are going to improve running two completely different OS's on their 2 simultaneous new flagship launches.... =D> =D> =D> =D>

after the initial excitement on seeing it wore off, reality set in.going to wait at least 6 months from launch to make sure some of the bugs are fixed.you got to hand it to archos they really have style.

Seeing the Archos 5's problems and price drop in the months after release, I think I'm going to react like liamo77 and wait a bit.

I'm so scared this is going to be another big farce. I'm hoping for an Archos 9 with Aero, Multitouch and a Ôé¼500,- price point, and I'm practically sure Archos can not deliver :(

I agree with you, I paid more then the double amount for my Archos 5, its sell for half of the price since launched. Also major bugs (almost not all) are solved. So I would rather wait and watch, for newer products and see if they suites to my requirement and budget (Archos 9).

by the way Archos 9 looks nice, but my thinking is I'll see if there would be any similar product in market and has best price and features then I would say "Bye bye" to Archos.

If Archos can get the hardware worked out, the problems are going to be mostly out of Archos' control. Have a problem with Flash or need an update? Go to Adobe. Pick the music player of your choice, iTunes, Media Monkey, Foobar 2000, etc. Got a problem with those, pick something else! Don't go to Archos. Products such as this and the netbooks/laptops are going to free up Archos from the firmware cauldron they've found themselves in with the last few generations of players/IMTs.
