Video Player that surpasses Archos Media Player

This is without a doubt one of the best video players for mobile devices. It is called Wuzhenhua Player and it plays:

4xm,8bps,aac,ac3,eac3,amv,ape,dca,imc,alas,rm,rmvb ,nuv,ptx,tta,wma,wmv,flic,
flac,flv,g726,h261,h263,h264,mp1,mp2,mp3,mp4,smc,t mv,dvdsub,dvbsub

I tested it with rmvb and it worked fine even for subtitles. It is a little rough and a little leggy but it does the job. Hope the developer can perfect it further. Above all it is free, so long expensive Archos codecs.

There is no way that app can surpass the Archos video player. I can see it being better for RMVB, but that's it. You have no idea how much optimization Archos did on the 5 to get it to play 720p this smoothly on a OMAP3430.

Yeah, 'surpass' might be way too strong a word for this thing, IMO.

Still, it's nice to have a 'court of last resort' player that will handle a few extra formats the AMC doesn't, albeit in a sometimes choppy, skippy way. Still,. better than not being able to play it at all!
