Just an FYI for Noreve Case fans - I got an email today from Noreve USA saying that they have closed their doors. All pending orders will be fulfilled by Noreve France, so lead times for N America will be a BIT slower :evil:.

Oh well.

This is rather annoying... I'm about 4 weeks into waiting on a pending order. Looks like it will be a few more before Noreve France gets around to it.

Luckily I already got my case a while back(and I love it!)but they still sent me an email about it. Their not closing completely, only the Long Beach, California business. Here is what the email said:


"Regretfully after 6 years in business the North American operations for Innovacases (Noreve) France, NoreveUSA.com, will be closing its doors effective February 28th, 2010.

We would like to address some obvious concerns:


Now that NoreveUSA has closed its doors, where can I shop for the Noreve line of products? Shopping will be available from Noreve.com (shipping directly from France).

Warranty claims - All cases are warranted for a lifetime, you can contact Noreve France at: Info@Noreve.com

Pending orders - There are customers that have special orders, warranty replacements or partials that still need to be filled and shipped to customers. When will my orders ship?

Pending orders will start to ship first week of March 2010.

Depending on when you placed your order, please allow 5 weeks from your order date. Because of our closure, Noreve France will require some time to get up to speed.

Do not be concerned: We have taken every step to assure that Noreve France has a copy of your Invoice. They also have access to the NoreveUSA backend for order information.

Warranty exchanges will be considered an open order and will be shipped as soon as stock becomes available."

I too, am glad that I got my case. (Though a slight knit-pick is that the business card slots are upside-down for when you turn your A5 to portrait mode. Your nice-clean business cards can spill-out on the ground if you do not keep stuffing more in the slots to keep them tightly wedged in the case...)

More importanly, my heart-felt sypathies to all of the Noreve USA employees who MAY, (I do not know for sure if this is the case.) be out of jobs in this less than opportunity-rich US job market.

I wish them all the best fortune in finding or making whatever opportunities that lie ahead of them.

Unfortunately, this story goes from bad to worse. Noreve France has now sent word that they will not honor the orders from Noreve USA, and it will be the existing unfulfilled customer's responsibility to have their banks stop payment. Of course, Noreve USA already charged for the custom order at placement some time ago.

was there anyone besides me who had an order pending that was canceled? i was in contact with noreve france and they basically said they got screwed so i'm getting screwed, but they would gladly let me pay for another one. i cannot get my money back from a bankrupt company and my debit card was already charged. if there are enough people here and on other site that i'm trying to find there could be a possible class action lawsuit. i have no interest in this over actually getting what i paid for, but if it's what must happen then it's what must happen

I'm really sorry to hear about that, Buck. You can always file a claim as a debtor in their bankruptcy proceedings as well, but you're only likely to receive pennies on the dollar, if you receive anything at all.

Anyway, much better luck in the future.

As evidenced from my previous post, I'm in the same situation. I expect I just lost $70 (paid over a month ago).

While I love the Noreve cases I have, I've never been impressed with NoreveUSA's service. Twice they sent my orders to someone else with a similar name, each time adding another 3 weeks or more to the time it took to get my order to me.
