I have an Archos 7 tablet and was watching video I transferred from my computer and suddenly when I shut it down, I received the above message. I tried watching other video and this does not happen. Anybody had a similar occcurance? Thanks, Robert

I have an Archos 5 which keeps saying Drive needs to be checked (RO).
tried reformatting it etc but affraid i need a new drive. been quoted about £110.
the pc won't recognise it either.
it is a good bit of kit but can't use it and very disappointed.
I haven't had it long, bought it second hand off ebay.. now i know why they were getting rid of it.
i would really appreciate to know how you got on with your 7.

If you search these forums, you will find instuctions on how to launch the Scandisc utility. I did this and have not had a problem since. I also do not force play video wheen the Archos tells me the file is damaged and can not play.
