Mon May 04, 2009 4:43 pm  New video backgrounds
I recently watched Finding Nemo for the first time and in the bonus features there were these looping aquarium videos. I immediately realized these would be great for the Archos so I ripped them and then converted them to mp4's and avi's. I really liked them so I decided I'd share them with you guys. Here's a link. Hi is there any possible way you could upload that video background without the need of using the videopodcast plugin? i do not have that ubt would LOVE to see this on my archos

it wont take much for you to recode it, just use pocket divx encoder and it will only take a few mins to convert it to divx avi container. op thanks they look nice.... nice work!! roy

Ok, first post so be gentle...
Where is the 'system' folder?
I tried putting the .avi's in the root folder but they didn't come up in the Wallpapers menu...
How do you remove wallpapers anyway?

Set the USB Preference to "PC Hard Drive".
{from the home screen select Tools --> Settings --> Storage } ,then you will see a "system folder" when you connect to pc.

Ahhh, found it out thanks, actually kills 2 birds with one stone as that is where the unwanted wallpapers are too...

Thanks Tydude4Christ for the great video backgrounds! Even though it's a little illegal ;-). Anywho does anyone have the original video backgrounds? My Archos came back from repair and the original Archos pictures and videos are gone.

You can get back the original backgrounds, videos, pictures etc from this link. ftp://support.archos.com/This is a cool site i found for video backgrounds (free for private / non-commercial use) http://www.dreamscene.org/gallery.php (.wmv format though, so they need converting).

That's correct, but not in the "system folder" where the backgrounds go.
