Regardless its software it shouldn't have to run out; its not tangible. Archos probably hasn't updated their page for us in U.S.

I was just think about the licenses, but the is device dependent. It is starting to look like the US is always the last to get something.

Perhaps that is why Archos is still a relative unknown in the U.S. during their 6th generation of devices....

Anyone else find it funny that this release in firmware coincides with Apple's 3.0 update for their iPhone and iTouch - down to the time of the release.

They tend to update the US internet shopping site later in comparison to the European ones. I'd be patient.

The plugin won't be any good for me as all my home videos are all 14k bit/s H.264 or 14k bit/s Xvids but I can't wait for some of you to try it out and report back us.

Newer DVD's (720 with the right player or a computer) and Blueray (1080 native). You can also download online videos, some youtube, porn, gamespot and various other websites have HD video.

Yep, time for another round of testing. Whoo Hooo! If Archos can keep these updates coming every two weeks we'd have all the bugs fixed in no time.
