EDIT: "Coverwall" is just a screen where you can pick your music by its coverart, its organised in tiny squares across the screen and is accessed via the music option

Its also enabled the home screen email number/checker

xls and doc PREVIEW? meaning a thumbnail, but you want open it?

DTI is a games manufacturer that makes flash games I think, so not sure that theres anything exciting there.

You were expecting Android? That is very unlikely to come to the archos 5, and almost impossible that it would come before Archos android device.

Roy,

You are right. The TV-Snap ON is there, technically, you just can't purchase it still. At least not in the U.S.; I haven't checked other countries.

Office Support:
-Word and Excel '07 files are not supported.

PDF:
-PDF viewer...a little faster but still too slow.

GUI:
-Screen flickering when backlight is set to low has gotten A LOT worse.

Coverwall:
-Not very creative (I prefer apples)
-Cover arts should be preloaded.
-Not enough information is given. Artist name should be shown in text (Not all covers are clear)
-Cover ats too small

Web:
-No "resume" option? Too bad...
-Still no flash update

All in all it's a good update, my A5 seems to be a lot more stable.

Nice job Archos!

Can someone tell me how well the .doc file viewing works? This could be a very nice feature if it displayed properly.

So another mediocre release..

Can anyone confirm if scrolling through music is still really choppy? That is my main gripe with the 5..
