Bug fixes:
Music: Search feature was not usable with Remote control
Music: Back from Player to Browser was not working well in playlist mode
Music: Browser was not in playlist mode after resuming a playlist playback
Music: all ARCLibrary categories were empty after playing a Web Radio station
Music: Background Audio Player was stopped when opening a Flash SWF file
Music: when finding the next track in a playlist, skip over up to 10 non-existing tracks before giving up
Music: when starting a playlist and the track doesn't exist, don't stop current audio but mark the track as deleted in the playlist

USB Host: There was a long delay without visual feedback before the File Browser is opened
USB Host: Trying to copy a file that already exists made the device reboot
GUI: Some texts were corrupted after quitting the Demo mode if a non latin font was selected
System: There were some artifacts visible on the screen with some pictures
System: USB transfer was very slow in recovery mode

scroll bar on web pages will be nice.

Can someone post a picture of how big the new album art is?

no GPS support yet. Surprise surprise.

Album art is only slightly bigger, with the text spaced a little more.

I think the update deleted my internet settings, as none of my previously viewed web pages are there.

Edit: Scroll bar is nice. You have the option of manual, off, or auto. I have it on auto, and when you finger-scroll, the bar appears on the right side and you can fully scroll the page.
Edit 2: PDF viewing still ridiculously slow.

The vertical scrollbar for the web browser should be a big help. Can someone please check out how well this feature works? My 7 is a Xmas present and currently resides in a gift wrapped box so I can't check it out for myself, lol.

A Beach Boys Fan! Have updated to new firmware. Still some video artifacts/contouring.

Is the sound back to the way it was? (it was kinda noticable after a while)

So annoying i've had to send my 5 back and they've had to further send it back to suppliers, could take a month damn it.

No mention of the audio drop outs (i,e, hiccups) or the button lags. But thanks for the update Archos! Keep making it better!

Has anyone tested battery life with the new firmware? I'm wondering if video will really last 7 hours or close to it.

No Opera/flash update>?

Does the scroll bar move smoothly or does it move and then stop as you move your finger down the page?

Can anyone confirm that this new firmware fixes the "File is Corrupted" issues with FLAC files?

I didn't see anything in the release notes so I'm assuming it's still a bug.

Facebook doesn't work for me now with new firmware. Disregard, use www.facebook.com/home.php

I still have audio skips too.

Web page scrolling; the scroll bar moves with your finger. Very smooth for me.

This was mentioned in another thread but becase of YouTube's new format the podcast plugin seems to be required now, at least on the videos I've tried.

All my FLAC files (~700 Albums) are okay with or without the newest FW...
It seems, your FLAC files are really corrupt.

Pretty sure it's not just my files. There's an entire other thread in this forum with multiple people experiencing the problem. I have ~4000 files and very few of them play on the Archos 5 (and I'm using EAC/flac.exe to encode them).

They all play fine in Cowon, Rockbox, Sansa, and Winamp.

Doesn't look like any support for mobile broadband via a USB dongle yet either.

When is this going to be introduced?
