Well my case finally arrived today and I LOVE IT. I took 3 bloody weeks to arrive but I'm happy to finally not have to use the Nintendo DS case I was using. It even included a nice gift box if you plan on giving one as a Christmas gift. Here are a few pics, it's the Dark Vintage style.

What is the purpose of those pockets (or what are they??) on the inner side of the front cover?

Card holders. But I won't use them. Just adds bulk to the front cover and presses on the screen.

Why are stylist holders left out on everything for the A5? Ill give it props for not really needing one but there are still some websites that having a fine point instead of a finger makes browsing life so much easier.

Id use those inside pockets for a stylist but I would be worried about the screen

Actually there is a stylus holder, here's another pic to show you. It seems to be a little bit short, it sticks out a bit. But in a way maybe that's what they wanted when they designed it. That way you can grab it a little easier. Not a big deal for me.

Kickstand only, no belt clip or belt loop.

It's a very sweet case though, my only complaint is I wish they made the stylus holder bigger (further to the left side of the case) in order to hold a stylus long enough (about 4 inches) to be useful to us with "adult size" hands.

My only complaint is the front cover should have a metal plate built in, like the back of it does. That would protect the screen much better from accidentally pressing on it too hard.

Supposedly, mine shipped today. So should have it in a couple of days.

I love my case also the stylus holder is awesome thats the #1 best thing about it and the card holders are great two if i dont want to carry my wallet all i need to do is put my drivers liscence and credit card in it and im good to go. with the archos + the case its a bit bulky but all in all im 100% satisfied with it

I have a concern. Does the noreve have any provision to continue to hold the A5 250GB in place once the case is opened? For example the A5 60GB case encloses the entire player (except for the screen) when open. The 250GB version does not seem to have this capability.

The old AV500 Archos (not noreve) case had an elastic strip on the top to secure the AV500 in place when the case was opened.

Edit: Upon closer examination of the pictures in this thread (thank you!) I see the side covers are curved in slightly to I assume that this is enough to hold the A5 in place when the case is open.

Correctamundo. It's held in there really securely. And I mean SECURE.

Has anyone tried using the 605 cases I tend to update the player every year that is why I am a little skeptical about paying $50 for a case.

I want one for my newly Archos 5 60GB...But..The price overwhelms me..So..All though I am looking for a case with a stylus holder..But..Again..Price overwhelms me. I really wanted it too... :cry:
