bubu wrote:It seems first time before launching u need to ssh -p 1022 root@605ip and chown -R nobody:nobody /home/nobody
I tried to do it into the openpma-ng.sh script but did not worked... will investigate later...
i don't understand that, i'm french can you explain please...
thanks you very much for that.
for u in french (sorry for others):
<french>
avec un client ssh (putty sur windobe), tu te connectes sur l'ip de ton 605wifi en root et port 1022 ensuite des que tu es connecte tu executes la commande:
chown -R nobody:nobody /home/nobody
et ensuite tu vas dans l'explorateur de fichier et tu lances le pdf openPMA-NG qui se trouve dans Info
</french>
I have tried the openPMA-NG. But I can't connect with ssh. Arcwelder works fine. So I did chown by using arcwelder. But all I get is a green bar at the top of the screen after starting the pdf file. The .log is empty.
What went wrong?

which Archos do u have ? maybe not enough space on hda2 partition ?
if u need to retry u can reboot then use FTG stuff with
"1;sh /mnt/data/openpma-ng.sh --uninstall" and then try again
"1;sh /mnt/data/openpma.ng.sh"
You need at least 75M free on hda2 (hidden partition)... I tested it on a605 wifi with 1.7.13 firmware seems to work on A705 wifi also...
Sorry, I must have missed something in this topic. I thougt I've read every post.
There is only 42MB of 98 left. Got a 605 30GB 1.7.13. Can I resize this partition?

mine was also 98M total... so I plug it into a linux box then fdisk /dev/sdx... to remove all partitions (1 part), then reboot and asked me at boot to format and set firmware... so I did and now I've 189M hda2 (don't forget to backup important things before doing that )

can you please post exactly which partitions you formatted? I really don't want to brick my 605
I understand that you have to remove all partitions. When you restart the 605, it will perform all required actions to set up the partitions right. Apparently the 1.7.13 firmware sets up a larger hidden partition than older firmwares did. So if you upgrade the firmware, you can get the larger hidden partition required to run bubu's Qtopia by proceeding as described above.
Please note that I do not own a 605 yet (should arrive tomorrow), so this is without any guaranty...
Yeah! I did format it with the recovery menu. Now I have got 189MB. I like those guys from Archos. I think they knew that someone would need more memory
Now my 605 looks like my Zaurus before I got bored and installed pdaxrom
Very good work!!!

I have just started this on 705 (not a single problem) and it looks awesome I must say. I looks much better then on my old Palm. Great step forward, bubu.
Wow, the remote control / keyboard is working in terminal as well (at least the basic characters).
