I want to connect my 705 to the Pioneer DVD player in my camper. I just bought a helmet cam with travel adaptor and it works fine. I'll enjoy that feature when i'm riding my minibikes.
Now i want to connect the DVD player with the yellow composite plug into the mini-jack of the travel DVR but the archos doesn't seem to recognize the signal.
When i go to the videocorder screen i get 2 flashing bars at the bottom and an icon saying there's no connection.
The cable archos sells for it seems to be the same i'm using.
I have used PAL and NTSC settings.
What do i have to do to get it right?

hay there. i am not sure if i can help but i have the same set up, so i thought i might be able to help. first, do you have three rings around the 1/8 mini-jack that you connect to the travel dvr. the reasion why i am asking is because i did not get the correct wires for recording when i got the camera. and when i finaly purchased it i got the three wire composite wires that i discribed above. after that i hooked up all three of the composite ends to the correct colors and pluged the three ringed mini-jack into the a/v input on the side of the travel dock then started recording. also check and make sure that all of your rec. settings are correct in your archos and make sure that the dvd player is not in 720 or upconvert hd settings because this will effect the travel dvr's ability to record aswell. hope this was some help and good luck.
