I want some sort of media delivery device that can pull video from a central server to be watched on my TV. I don't really want to build an HTPC, so the TV+ looks promising.
I'm not really finding many detailed specs, though - just general feature lists.
Specifically, I have the following questions:
Network - 10/100 or 10/100/1000? Gigabit would be nice.
Resolution - I love my 605 (plus DVR docking station), but the thing won't play any files larger than 800 by xxx. I'd love to be able to play 720p or even 1080p files, either stored on the unit or over the network.
Filetypes - What about support for .mkv files? .ts high def files? WMV in any form? .avi/MPEG4 is nice, but doesn't cover other HDTV sources.
HDMI is nice, but unless the unless the unit can play HD content, it's kind of overkill.
Maybe what I want doesn't exist yet, but it would be nice.
Resolution this unit will output 720P via the HDMI output, it will stream WMV content from your PC.
