Plug-in transfers and Walmart

Post by SMA »

First-time poster here looking for some advice. I purchased a 605 30GB a few weeks ago through the myspace discount promotion. I was happy with it except for the fact that it was very flaky connecting to my networked computers and ended up returning it to Archos. I decided to give Archos another try and ordered the 4GB flash version from walmart instead. My question is will I be able to transfer the browser plugin to my new Archos when I get it? I know some people have called customer support to request plugin transfers but I'm just wondering if Archos will give me a hard time since I bought the new unit from walmart and not them.

Speaking of walmart, has anyone bought something from them for in-store pickup? I've been waiting for over a week to get an e-mail that the order is ready to be picked up.

I returned my unit that I purchased with the myspace discount back as well (faulty wifi) and bought a unit from Circuit City. I had no problems transfering my plugins. I called in and talked to Nancy who was handling my return.

Thanks for the reply. Did Archos nail you with the 15% restocking fee?

Nope. No restocking fee. You have 14 days to ask for a refund with a defective unit. At least nobody mentioned a restocking fee..
