You can all post any FAQ stuff you want here, as CBers asked.
Just gather the data and add it here.
I'll moderate it (delete ridonkulous posts etc.) but you guys have to put in the info.

1- If you get that "Quarter Pixel" error, you need to re-encode the video that generates it. There is no other way around this.

2. The best recording is via the S-VIDEO input and the best playback is via the COMPONENT output. The DVR docking station does NOT have a COMPONENT input.

3. The 704 CANNOT play any video file which exceeds its screen resolution - even if you connect it to a huge plasma and divert the video to "TV". In this case, don't forget to select COMPONENT as the default video output on the DVR docking station.

4. If you want surround sound, then you must buy the "Cinema" plug-in. It plays videos with sound encoded as AC3. In this case, don't forget to select SPDIF-out as the default sound output of the DVR docking station.

Best,
Al

5. To enable WIRELESS FILE SHARING it seems that you have to manually make the WiFi connection beforehand.

6. Your 704 should be in the same workgroup as the PC/laptop that you wish to share your files with.

7. Sometimes.. and I repeat SOMETIMES. When you recieve a message saying that there is not enough space on the drive to record; check if you used a "/" in the recording name. Like you used a date. For example:
Lost - 10/15/2007

For some reason the "/" throws the whole unit for a loop and will tell you that the drive is full.

What do you do if you get that error? After using DVD Ripper Platinium (latest version 4) I get the rror "Quarter Pixel and GMC is not supported".

Are there any other choices
.
